a star is born

The wise men of Matthew 2 are fascinating.  They saw a star in the east, presumably the eastern part of Mesopotamia by Babylon and made the decision to travel.  There is a verse in Numbers that points to this.
Num. 24:17     I see him, but not now;
    I perceive him, but not near.
    A star will come from Jacob,
    and a scepter will arise from Israel.
    He will smash the forehead of Moab
    and strike down all the Shethites.
  The third book in the Bible is prophesying about the birth of Christ!  Praise God!
