a trustworthy saying

Paul wrote to Timothy to help him know some basic principles of discipleship.  We all have the capacity to grow in Christ when we make the decision.  In 2 Timothy 2:11-13 Paul stated three powerful principles.  The first is based on the fact of Christ's atoning work on the cross and bodily resurrection from the dead.  
11 This saying is trustworthy:     For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him
Because He lives, we will live. Praise God!
