The writers of the Psalms draw us to their texts by conveying their anxieties and their prayers. They literally live on the pages of Scriptures. One of the sons of Korah wrote:
Happy are the people whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a source of spring water; even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings. 7 They go from strength to strength; each appears before God in Zion. The Easton's Bible dictionary and the New Bible Dictionary refer to the "valley of Baca" as a valley of weeping, maybe a place that holds tombs, or in its geographic location, the context clue might tell us a dry place. The presence of God makes an unpleasant place.a pleasant place. Praise God! var refTagger = { settings: { bibleVersion: "ESV" } }; (function(d, t) { var g = d.createElement(t), s = d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0]; g.src = '//api.reftagger.com/v2/RefTagger.js'; s.parentNode.insertBefore(g, s); }(document, 'script'));
