an eternal retirement plan

There is no shortage of business models aimed at acquiring the funds of everyone from birth to the grave.  I think of the father who has to register his newborn in the basement offices of the hospital so they can get their social security number issued.  That same number follows them through every official document trace that leads all the way to the funeral home 90 years into the future.  It's useful for settling accounts and verifying identity.  The word of God has a different plan and it requires no paperwork or signatures.  It's paid in full.  Here is what Jesus said about it:

Luke 12:27        “Consider how the wildflowers grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. 28 If that’s how God clothes the grass, which is in the field today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more will he do for you—you of little faith? 29 Don’t strive for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious. 30 For the Gentile world eagerly seeks all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.
I have plans today to decide not to be anxious.  Praise God!
