Come unto me

The invitation of Jesus to us is for rest, deliverance and freedom.  He said he has come that we might have life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10)  In Matthew 11, Jesus was talking to His disciples about the relationship that He has with His father.  Then He issued a powerful invitation.  

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Five chapters later He will issue another invitation to "take up our cross and follow Him." (Matt 16: 24-25) Hear the invitation of Jesus today and find rest for your soul.   Praise God!
