When Paul was writing to the church in Ephesus, he didn't give them just a series on some aspect of Christian faith. He delivered everything. To Paul, as we discover when we encounter Scripture, Christ is the full complement of everything a Christian needs. As easy as it is to fashion our faith according to our preferences, the Bible declares Jesus to be the answer to every question. Notice how Paul uses the word "fullness" in the following passage: Eph. 3:17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, 19 and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. May Paul's prayer for the Ephesians be God's activity in us.
