The message of the epistles is of complete victory. Jesus triumphed over death, hell and the grave. His resurrection is a guarantee of our resurrection. We have hope for this life, and all eternity. When you do a search for two words within the epistles, you get a fantastic result. 'Grace' and 'given' show up together sixteen times. (Rom. 12:3, 6; 15:15; 1 Cor. 1:4; 3:10; 2 Cor. 8:1; Gal. 2:9; Eph. 3:2, 7–8; 4:7, 29; 2 Th. 2:16; 2 Tim. 1:9; James 4:6; 1 Pet. 5:5). Why? Because it's the nature of the gift! Grace becomes understood and experienced when it's given! The grace is the result of Christ's work on the cross and victory over death. Today we get to experience grace given! Praise God!
