Not in darknesss

I enjoy the study of end time events in Scripture.  There are plenty of verses that talk about it.  For example 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Matthew 24.  Most of 2 Peter talks about the end times. Both Paul and John have used the phrase "at his coming" (1 Cor. 15:23; 1 Th. 2:19; 1 John 2:28)

There is one phrase in one book that is strikingly valuable as it relates to the end times.  The audience is believers and the message is clear.

1Th. 5:4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the dark, for this day to surprise you like a thief. What a great encouragement.  We are children of the day!  We don't walk in darkness after the light of God's love has shown in our hearts.  Look up, friend and know that the mystery of His coming doesn't have to be dark or gloomy.  If you know Christ, YOU are NOT in the dark!  Praise God!
