The prayer of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane illustrates the intense struggle of the Son of God in His mission to redeem the world. The weight of the world's sin was looming. The apathy and disinterest of the disciples was frustrating, and the slow march of temporal hours and minutes were a weight compared to His knowledge of the scope of eternity.
Luke 22:42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done Jesus submitted to the will of the Father and won for us redemption for this life and for all eternity.
