One phrase, lots of power

There is nothing that compares to the teaching of Jesus. The Sadducees listened to Him, the crowds loved Him and the Pharisees followed Him around.  John 16:33 records a magnificent statement made by the Lord Jesus.  It embraces in one statement, the hard reality of this present age, with the certain promise of the future. 

3 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
He says a hard reality.  You will have trouble in the world.  He sums that fact up with an encouragement to look up!  "I have overcome the world!" Praise God!
