When Peter was preaching on the day of Pentecost, he was full of the Holy Spirit. He preached the good news about Jesus, his sacrificial death and glorious resurrection. While he was preaching he quoted from the Old Testament. The most well known is Joel 2:28-32. He also quoted from Psalm 16:8-11. There is a verse in this passage that is so powerful! He was making the point about the promised Messiah. That promise became our present reality.
