sincere faith

Heritage. Generation. Legacy.  These are the words I think of how the Gospel of Jesus is spread.  The Bible perpetually talks about passing the faith from generation to generation.  Its built into the Shema or "teaching" passage of Deuteronomy 6:1-9.  Christian educators recognize the high value of the family unit passing Christian faith to the next generation.  I'm thankful for my heritage.  Paul brought this up to Timothy when he identified "sincere faith".
2Tim. 1:5 I recall your sincere faith that first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and now, I am convinced, is in you also.
We each can have a century long impact on our families as we model the faith in God's word, His church and most notably, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself!  Praise God!
