sunlight in my soul

 I believe it was D.L. Moody who said, "If you want to get your soul to heaven, you have to have heaven in your soul".  Sometimes that's harder than ever. 
There's a great song called "Sunlight" written by Justin Van Devanter in 1897.   I wanted to share some of the verses with you that I believe are true in our relationship with God each and every day if we will allow the joy of the Lord to be our Strength.  Consider these verses:

I wondered in the shades of night til Jesus came to me
and with the sunlight of His love, bid all my darkness flee!
and then this one:
While walking in the light of God I sweet communion find
I press with holy vigor on and leave the world behind
and if that isn't enough, how about our hope of heaven?
Soon I shall see Him as He is, the light that came to me
Behold the brightness of His face throughout eternity!
Reflecting on all of this, one can joyfully make the testimony of the Chorus...

All along the way
Since the Savior found me
Took away my sin
I have had the sunlight of His love within

If you know Christ.  You can have sunlight 24/7!  Praise God!
