The year was 2008. Crossway produced an amazing new Study Bible. These publishers of the English Standard Version wanted a one stop shop to the background, geographical and timeline information. They produced the ESV Study Bible. The Bibles that followed followed the standard and now we have a wealth of information right next to our favorite versions. Praise God!
