the location of help

Jerusalem sits atop a hill.  There is a deep valley near and high mountains on the other side.  The wilderness of Judea is nearby. When the writers of the Bible conveyed their understanding and also worship of God, it reflects the geography around them.  The Psalmist wrote the following in Psalm 121:1.

Psa. 121:1        I lift my eyes toward the mountains.
    Where will my help come from?
2     My help comes from the LORD,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

My Help comes from the Lord!  Praise God!
