the micah forecast

There is so much in the Old Testament that points to the saving Messiah. After the fact of Jesus coming to earth, the biblical hindsight is clear as a bell.  Micah is one of those places.  It's a one verse wonder.

Bethlehem Ephrathah,
 you are small among the clans of Judah;
one will come from you
to be ruler over Israel for me.
 His origin is from antiquity,
from ancient times.

Bethlehem was put on the map by the birth of Jesus. "His origin is from antiquity".  Wow.  The eternal focus in this statement alone is instructive. It was prophesied with specificity and boldly fulfilled.  Praise God!
