It's a theological truth that is right in black and white. It hides in plain sight among those who know their Bibles and it is absent in the worldview of those who don't. Jesus clearly stated that because He lives, we will live. (John 14:19).When Martha repeated back to Jesus the theological hope of eternal life, Jesus countered with a grand truth in the present tense:
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live. The hope of believers is not just the end of death, it is the certainty of. new life. It's why the conjunction "AND" is so powerful. The truth comes straight from the lips of Jesus on the darkest day of Martha's life. She had no idea that He was about to do a miracle, That's exactly what happened. The resurrection of Lazarus is the object lesson for our guaranteed resurrection. THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE!
