He only said it once in the whole Bible. It's a metaphor. Jesus said "I am the vine". It's hard to put into human language the complexity of theological truth. We search for the right words to convey God's great redemptive love for man. In the Easter season, we are reminded yearly what a grand truth we enjoy daily. John was the Gospel writer who recorded it.
John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me. What a privilege to know our Redeemer wants to have a daily relationship with us! Praise God! var refTagger = { settings: { bibleVersion: "ESV" } }; (function(d, t) { var g = d.createElement(t), s = d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0]; g.src = '//api.reftagger.com/v2/RefTagger.js'; s.parentNode.insertBefore(g, s); }(document, 'script'));
