The word for "hidden" in the New Testament, is by definition, mysterious. It's translated "hid" or "hidden" 26 times in the New Testament but it doesn't always refer to the same thing. There is the way Jesus used it that has my interest today. Jesus referred to His hearers as a "light of the world" and used the example that a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) The thing that happens when a soul comes to Christ makes it impossible to be hidden. The love of God shines out! Praise God! var refTagger = { settings: { bibleVersion: "ESV" } }; (function(d, t) { var g = d.createElement(t), s = d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0]; g.src = '//api.reftagger.com/v2/RefTagger.js'; s.parentNode.insertBefore(g, s); }(document, 'script'));
