Our English Bibles have a lot of verses in them. Something like 31,000. Versification, the reference system we've become accustomed to is a helpful tool. Because of chapters and verses we can quickly find verses we want to remember and reference. It's important to remember that those verses were not in the original language. Translators placed them there so we could find and reference those glorious thoughts. A good example of how hard it would be to maneuver through the Bible without versification is found in a chronological study Bible. The more we know about our Bibles and the work of Bible translators, helps us appreciate the wonderful revelation of God to man! Praise God!
