The rhythm of life has waiting built in. Waiting by nature conveys what we are expecting hasn't happened yet. I think of when I call a business number I'm told that the hold time is longer than expected, "Please wait". When it comes to God's activity, waiting is more pronounced because we expect God to act out of His abundant love, mercy and power. The issue is do we trust the one we're waiting on? Perhaps this is what the Psalmist was getting at when he discovered that God could be trusted while he waited.
Psa. 27:13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! We can take great courage because God is forever trustworthy.
